In 2020, we will celebrate our 40th year of continual trading. Over that time we have successfully completed hundreds of projects to the great satisfaction of our clients. With exacting standards and exemplary workmanship, R Beere & Sons Builders Ltd has an enviable reputation for construction and groundworks within the Basingstoke, North Hampshire and surrounding area. Quality really is our reputation.

We are members of the Federation of Master Builders, NHBC and an accredited ICEIC domestic installer. In addition, we hold Plant operator cards for tracked and backhoe machines.

From Conversions to Extensions & New Build Projects

"Beere & Sons were employed to renovate and substantially extend a dilapidated rural residential property that also required an overgrown light industrial unit to be demolished. Additional works then required a great deal of landscaping and garden preparation. Beere & Sons undertook the complete job as well as project managing it.

Throughout we found Nick, Rod, Simon and their team to be exemplary. Not only was the quality of their work of the highest standard but all the hand-picked sub-contracted trades proved to be exceptional. Their ability to take on any task was impressive, from intricate brickwork, assembling a complex roof structure, turning out beautiful carpentry to ripping up and shifting over 500 tons of subsoil and concrete; no task was too small nor too big.

Throughout the 11 month period Beere & Sons were working for us we found them to be completely reliable, very hard-working and above all else utterly conscientious. What's more they were fantastic with my young (and growing!) family. I would recommend them without hesitation to any prospective client; the daily pleasure we get from our beautiful home is testament to Beere & Sons abilities."

As a family business, Rod, Nick and Simon all bring positivity, knowledge and experience to the project. They were solution-focussed at every stage, always seeking the best possible outcome for us. They are a company with good old-fashioned values - they are honest, dependable, and trustworthy. One particular thing we appreciated about them was that they always communicated extremely well with us. They were quick to return phone calls, and they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. As well as liking them very much, we also liked the rest of their team, who were helpful, polite and considerate (and often with a good dose of humour thrown in!).

R Beere & Sons Builders was established by Rod Beere in 1978, Rod having carried out a traditional apprenticeship with 10 years experience behind him before making the decision to start his own business.

Rod has over 50 years of experience in the building trade, he's literally been there, done it and seen it all - a master of his craft. He has earned an enviable reputation for reliability and is renowned for the quality of his work. Now passing on his extensive experience to his sons and fellow tradesmen, Rod still keeps an active and hands on role within the business.

In 1997, Nick joined his father in the family business having completed his brickwork apprenticeship with the same local company as his father. Since joining the company, Nick has become a qualified plant operator to NVQ level in backhoe and tracked excavators above 10 tons. Nick also holds a national plant card for 180 degree excavators.

The growth of the business and expansion into groundworks is Nick's speciality, with Nick well known in the trade for his knowledge, efficiency and quality of work, delivering cost savings for clients through meticulous planning and on site execution.

Nick has spearheaded the companies expansion in groundworks through continued investment in quality Plant and machinery. We are proud to be a key partner for Catapillar Inc. in the UK, utilising their latest backhoe loader which has proved to be a worthy and highly reliable investment. Downtime is minimised, which improves output, ultimately ensuring the job is done as quickly as possible and with precision to everyones satisfaction.

In 2003, Rod's youngest son, Simon, joined the business bringing his electrical expertise and training. Simon also undertook a traditional apprenticeship with a local electrical contractor prior to joining the family business. Simon is a Part P registered and approved electrical installer.

Simon is passionate about Ice Hockey, having played at Basingstoke since he was 9 years old. During his long playing career, Simon has represented the Basingstoke Bison as well as his country in Team GB. Today, in his spare time, Simon coaches the next generation of players and is proud to be Team Coach for the Basingstoke Buffalo.
