Situated within a conservation area, this Outbuilding was commissioned to act as part workshop, part home office. Built to the highest specification for heat retention and aesthetics, it cleverly resembles a garage from the roadside, but hides its size and function discretely.
The construction of this building required particular care and attention due to the very close proximity to a mains sewer and a land drain that ran across the property. We managed the build with the respective authorities and ensured the reinforced floating concrete base met the exacting standards required.
The return corner window that benefits from uninterrupted rural views, required bespoke steel fabrication as well as joinery for the floor to ceiling windows. The building was clad using high grade Douglas Fir, the joinery using the same material to match.
